Peace reigns in an animal kingdom deep in the jungle. The animals enjoy a peaceful life under the leadership of a well known scientist, Professor Iskar. However, the good times come to an end when pirates invade their "kingdom" and murder Prof Iskar. Left without a leader, the animals begin to tiff among themselves and have problems appointing a successor to take over Prof Iskar's mantle. However, they finally manage to identify an animal loving boy and convince him to join them in their glorious animal kingdom.

Doremi falls in love with his new friends and soon develop a bond with Bista, the mousedeer, Oti the orang utan, Tega the tiger cub and his father Blanko, Gako the lion , Gota the goat, Sumu the rhinoceros, Mona the monkey, Zeezee the chimpanzee, Oxpa the ox, Jaja the elephant, and a host of other animal friends. Under the leadership of Doremi, they find new vigor to overcome the many challenges that come their way, such as overcoming a band of marauding pirates, impending natural disasters as well as invading aliens and monsters that threaten the tranquility of their kingdom.
