The Animation series of YUSRIE & FRIENDS is a reflection of the development and prosperity of Malaysia after the year of 2020 in a city named Doplodoplo. The name of the city is actually the spelling of the number 2020 based on the pronunciation in Bahasa Malaysia as a tribute to the vision behind the great city. The lives of the four main families (Yusuf's family - Malay, Ah Keong's family - Chinese, Mutu's family - Indian and Pratap's family - Sikh) and others in the city fill the daily life of the city with laughter and fun. In every episode the story revolves around different events such as school activities, jobs, the daily chores and many others.

Starting from the arrival of an English teacher named Mr. Henry who chooses to live in Doplodoplo, the series expands to include various incidents which also reflect the spirit of cooperation and friendship. The children of Doplodoplo: Yusry, Yusny (Yusuf's family), Ah Kit, Mei Hwa (Keong's family) Rama, Kumari (Mutu's family) and Keevan (Pratap's family) bring joy to the story with their adventures and laughter.
